FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1
Do you allow pets?
Yes! We welcome well-behaved dogs (up to 3) by approval. To keep the cabin comfortable for all guests, we may restrict dogs that shed excessively, are prone to damage, or require frequent cleanup. A non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog applies per stay. Any damage caused by pets will be charged accordingly.
2
Do you allow smoking?
We do not allow smoking inside the cabin. Any smoking evidence will result in odor removal and furniture cleaning fees. Burned outdoor or indoor furniture, cushions, and pillows will also result in replacement fees. Please be respectful when smoking on the property and dispose of cigarette butts properly.
3
Is there a noise ordinance?
Yes, we ask that guests please follow the community noise ordinance from 10 PM to 10 AM. Always be respectful of our community and be good neighbors. Sounds travel very far in the forest's remote areas.
4
Do we get the whole property?
Yes! Your stay includes full access to the entire cabin and all outdoor spaces, including the patio, hot tub, bocce/sport court, and fire-pit area. Feel free to make yourself at home and enjoy all the amenities.
5
Are the roads leading to Pack Haus paved?
For the most part. While all roads leading to the property are paved, the property's parking area is gravel. Cars shouldn't have any issues accessing it in normal conditions.
6
When do the gas fireplaces work?
The gas fireplaces in the living area and patio are available for your enjoyment from October to March. We turn the gas off from April through September.
7
Is the property accessible to people with mobility issues?
To fully enjoy the cabin, guests will encounter several sets of stairs. There are a few steps leading down and back up to reach the patio and cabin entrances. Inside, the loft and bunk room are accessed by a tall, narrow spiral staircase—it’s quite tight, so please use caution when going up or down (see photo in the living room album). Outdoors, there are multiple stairs leading to the hot tub and fire-pit area, and a small set of steps up to the bocce/sport court.
8
Is the cabin managed by a property manager or the owners?
Pack Haus is our family-owned and personally managed cabin, and it’s the only property we host. We do live out of town and have a fantastic crew in Hochatown that we work closely with to prepare the cabin for each guest.
9
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel anytime prior to 30 days before your stay. No refunds will be given after that period is expired.
10
Can you stock the cabin with groceries before we arrive?
Absolutely! We work with The Southern Belle Concierge to stock the cabin before you arrive for an additional fee. They can also deliver anything you might want during your stay, such as s'mores packages, romance packages, flowers, and more. Just let us know what you need, and we'll get you all set up.
